Friday Find – Amika The Shield Anti-Humidity Spray
I saw another blogger mention this and since my hair does not play well with the humidity, I decided to give it a try. The spray claims to:
- be heat activated
- protect hair from heat and humidity
- maintain a frizz-free style for 24 hours
You can spray it on damp or dry hair. I use it both ways. I wash my hair about every 3 days. I spray it in my hair when it’s wet before I style it and I also spray it on my styled hair as a quick finishing spray after my hairspray.
I’ve found it to work really well and it’s definitely a product I will continue using.
Amika products are a little pricey, but worth it. I would recommend just buying the travel size first to see if you like the product and if it works well for your hair. That’s what I did.
Friday Fav – Hammock Swing from Amazon
This was a purchase my daughter talked me into last summer. She said they were so comfortable and promised she would use it. I ordered one, reluctantly, along with the accessories needed to hang it. It was so comfortable and fun to sit in, I ordered a second one within a week.
This quickly became a relaxing place to read a book, or just sit and visit. It also became the teen hangout spot too.
Below are the accessories needed to hang the hammocks. If you have any questions about how my husband hung the swings, let me know in the comments below.
Friday Fail – No Slip Velvet Pant Hangers
While I really liked the space-saving capacity of these hangers, they didn’t work out for me. I found it very difficult to get pants on and off the hanger. I used them for several weeks to see if I would get used to them over time, but I didn’t. Therefore, these hangers go down as a big ol’ fat fail in my book.
And until next time…
