Since dresses are so popular this spring and summer, I thought it might be fun to show you 3 ways to style a knit dress. And I’m willing to bet you already have all the items you need in your closet. But just in case, I’ve linked a few items below for you.
Style 1 – A Knit Dress Styled with Simple Jewelry & A Coordinating Purse
It’s amazing how a purse can upgrade your look. I don’t know about you, but I’m often running out the door just grabbing the current purse I’m carrying. I often don’t give a thought to whether it coordinates with my outfit or not. That’s probably why I tend to stick with neutral purses rather than colors or patterns.
This purse is big and roomy so I can stuff all my crap in it. The material is thick so I know it’s not going to fall apart after this season.
And check out the tassel with the shells!! Be still my beach lovin’ heart!
Speaking of the beach, check out these beautiful earrings designed and made by Rina at Pure Whimsey Jewelry.
Rina lives in Florida and specializes in mountain and ocean-themed jewelry. You can even send her a picture of a beach or mountain scene significant to you and she will design something for you based on the picture. How cool is that?
So the first way to style a knit dress is to grab some jewelry you like, a cute pair of shoes and a purse that will pull the whole look together.
Style 2 – A Knit Dress Styled with a Scarf
I have a collection of scarfs and always forget to wear them. But it changes the look of the dress and gives it a fun pop of color. This is one I purchased from The Gap years ago.
I switched out my purse for a more neutral straw bag. I purchased this one from Amazon. So for another way to style your knit dress, find a scarf that has the color of your dress in it, maybe as the accent color of the scarf.
Style 3 – A Knit Dress Styled with a Jean Jacket
This was super easy, guys. I just threw the jean jacket on and added a fun scarf to my purse for a pop of color. Remember, a jean jacket is one of 5 spring transition pieces you need in your closet.
And there you have it. 3 super simple ways to style a knit dress. Which one is your favorite? Comment below and let me know!
